I completely share your concern with heavy heart. I recall the presentation made by one Tamil Hindu girl, a Sinhalese Christian woman and a Sinhalese Hindu girl in Phnom Penh in 2007. Throughout the presentation, all of them had been telling us that they have been divided systemically and all of them were suffering with the similar fear and tortures. Though they had shown their deep empathy to other people, they seemed to be helpless for achieving a settlement in Sri Lanka. With several 'or's you have quoted, I would say to share all these with as many friends as possible, who at some point could be of support. Pls keep on sharing with us. This is not only a challenge for you, rather the whole peacebuilders around the globe!

I agree with you, as a journalist, sometime we only have one choice. Do the best for our profession and remain to be independent, downright. So we can report the truth. Although for the truth, we (forced) have to deal with death.

As a Journalists, I'm in West Papua, not yet faced dramatical experience. But sooner or later I have to ready to facing that experience. Saometime I do not know when I have to be laughed, or when I have to weep. I only soybean cake have to finish my work better.

[Edited out] In Sri Lanka whether you are Tamil,Muslim or Singhalese most of the people lost at least one of their family members,a close relative ,a good friend or a person well known to them. [Edited out] I lost my two nephews who were killed by tigers in Trinco and who had nothing to do with armed forces. They just went to collect rise to a village on the behalf of the Govt. and Tigers killed them by burning them alive after they looted the rise.

I also lost my best friend's wife and her 16 years old daughter for the Dehiwala train bomb and also one of my relatives lost his limbs that day for the same bomb. He lost his job and also his family hardly hit by that.

So we have to realise that [Prabhakaran] has to pay for the destruction of Sri Lanka and for the killing of many many innocent people.
