The chains of oppression on the Tamil speaking people are gradually being tightened by degrees. The government is violating the most sacred right of life to Tamils in Batticaloa. The state deprives other liberties to a people who never offended them. The mere fact that they are Tamils is enough to face such cruel events. Is this not a genocide, in this world of ours, which stands for human dignity, freedom and respect for human kind? The situation in Batticaloa is pathetic.
