Mahinda Chintana (Mahinda Vision) is a document written for the 2005 presidential elections. It gives a vision for the changes that the President would like to bring about during his tenure. After one year it is time to revisit some of the statements made and to assess what has been achieved and start a discussion with the Sri Lankan people on what seems to have been election rhetoric and what has been achieved so far in reality. JVP and LTTE meet in the Vanni
 

In an unexpected turn of events the leadership of the JVP met with the LTTE leadership earlier this week. No details are available at this time. In a short explanation leaders of both parties said that they had enough of having been mislead by successive Governments and that they would put the Government and the International Community to shame having made a small elite living in Colombo and abroad incredible wealthy with the ongoing war.
